Kompany saw his Bayern side crowned champions over the weekend, as Bayer Leverkusen failed to beat Freiburg, handing the title on a silver platter to their bitter rivals. Bayern have taken 76 points from 32 games and have only lost twice, with two games of the campaign to come.

Kompany has guided Bayern to the title in his first season, and after a campaign that saw the Bavarians beaten to the trophy by Xabi Alonso's irrepressible Leverkusen side in 2023-24. Now, the former Burnley boss has taken a moment to reflect on the achievement.

Kompany wrote on X: "We can take a moment now to enjoy winning the Bundesliga, what an incredible feeling! I want to congratulate the players for their outstanding effort throughout the season. You’ve done this together. You’ve won it as a team.
